Today

I woke to a clean house,

happily wrapped myself in bright colors,

watched a red tail hawk glide over the harbor

and a pelican grace the waters edge.

I left the tights at home,

and donned open toe shoes 

in the freshly painted hue of Honeymoon Red.

I opened my heart

to possibilities

and happily greeted the visitors.
